Alice Springs hosted a morning tea to celebrate our carers for Foster and Kinship Carers week and to launch the Carer Parent Group. The event was held on Saturday 14 of September and was very well received by those who attended. A big thank you to Alice Springs Reptile Centre and Hair Today who wanted to show their appreciation to our carers by donating prizes for the event as well.
A family pass to Alice Springs Reptile Centre went to Bill, and Emma won the voucher and gift pack from Hair Today. It’s wonderful to see how much our foster and kinship carers are appreciated by our community.
The morning tea was a great way for carers to relax over a coffee, meet new people, and to establish mutual support networks. Remember – it’s about supporting you, and showing our appreciation for everything you do for kids in out-of-home care.
