Our wonderful foster carer Megan Brown, based in Alice Springs is a big advocate for Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). She raises awareness of FASD by running two Facebook pages while also raising funds for FASD too.
In September, for FASD awareness month, Megan knitted keyring sized shoes and pin cushions, selling them and raising $600 for NOFASD! Awarded the 2019 Alice Springs Volunteer of the Year Award, Megan is enthusiastic about giving back to her local community.
It is so wonderful to see our foster and kinship carers, like Megan, not only opening their hearts and homes for children but also contributing their precious time by raising awareness for causes close to carers hearts. Thank you for all that you do!
