Online learning: Anxiety Self-Help for children, young people and their carers

Did you know that 1 in 10 children and young people experience an anxiety condition that impacts their daily life? As carers, you will likely be familiar with trauma responses and anxiety that can arise for some children and young people around family contact, school, social environments or other situations on a daily basis. How much do you know about that anxiety and how to support those in your care?

Foster and Kinship Carers Association NT has identified a fantastic online learning program focused on cognitive behavioural principles that support children and young people to develop anxiety management strategies from the safety of home. The Parent Program gives carers an opportunity to learn more about anxiety and how to manage situations where children may become anxious.

What programs are available:

  • Young children aged 3-7
  • Children aged 8-12
  • Teens aged 12-17
  • Parents Program for each age group so that you can assist can also follow this programs specifically designed for their age group.
